New 2024 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid, MPG, Engine

New 2024 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid, MPG, Engine – Previously, the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado was the weakest of the heavy-duty pick-ups, lagging significantly behind its Ford and Ram rivals in terms of horsepower and towing capability. This all changed in 2019 when a radical redesign and a new standard gasoline engine were implemented. The Silverado 2500HD’s 401-horsepower V8 engine is quite powerful, but it can’t match the possible 910 pound-feet of torque the Duramax diesel engine provided.

Towing up to 18,510 lbs. in its ideal configuration is made possible by a more robust chassis and braced axles and joints, causing the 2500HD an excellent rival to the Ram 2500 and Ford F-250. Despite its dated appearance, the inside of the Chevy is significantly more up-to-date than that of the previous version. A relatively low base price allows you to add a diesel engine and all-wheel drive without overspending.

2024 Chevrolet Silverado Redesign

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado was introduced in 2024. A power-adjustable seat is now an option for the Custom trim, which was previously only available with manual controls. A new Multi-Flex six-position tailgate is now open on all Chevrolet models. Finally, a metallic paint hue, Greenstone has been added to the collection. The 3500HDs of 2024? Greenstone Metallic is brand-new paint color. The Multi-Flex six-position tailgate is now available as an option on all trims, as is the Multi-Flex power liftgate.

All versions now come standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the multi-functional Multi-Flex tailgate, new paint colors, and greater towing ratings for the 2.7-liter turbocharged gas four-cylinder and 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel six-cylinder engines. Trailer-assist technology, such as trailer-length indicators, jackknife alerts, and bed viewers for fifth-wheel connections, has also become widely accessible.

Interior

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado is a truck, but it doesn’t have the luxury feel of the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150, which have more premium materials and a better overall feel. Another evidence that Chevy hasn’t advanced much in the cabin is a clunky column shifter that has to be yanked hard.

The basic work truck is equipped with a single-zone air conditioning system, a rearview camera, and a driver information display, as well as a foldable 40/20/40-split front bench seat for 2024. Keyless entry, cruise control, plusher leather seats, and dual-zone temperature control are all available as the trim levels rise. Adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, a head-up display, a power sunroof, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and ventilated front seats are just some of the options that are on offer.

Engine

This engine has a power output of 285 horsepower and a torque output of 305 lb-ft. An eight-or 10-speed automatic transmission is an option for this engine’s standard configuration, which includes active fuel management and 355 horsepower or 383 pound-feet of torque. The dynamic fuel management system enhances the engine’s ability to deactivate cylinders, which improves both performance and fuel economy.

The 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is the sole engine available, and it’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission to create 310 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque. The 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque is the most powerful, and it’s only available with a ten-speed automated transmission.
