Three rows of seating are standard in the Traverse, making it one of the most notable entries in its market and providing plenty of interior space. You may think of it as a mass-market minivan like the Honda Pilot, Hyundai Palisade, or Ford Explorer.
The fast engine makes it one of today’s most popular cars, but the lack of total enjoyment makes it a dud. The V6 3.6-liter engine with 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque powers drives the drivetrain. Even though the Traverse is not a genuine off-road vehicle, its available all-wheel drive allows it to handle challenging road conditions.
2024 Chevy Equinox Redesign
New grilles, a 2024 Chevy Equinox front fascia, standard LED headlights, and new LED taillights will be standard on all new Chevrolet Traverses for the 2024 model year. With the RS and higher trim levels, heated power-folding outside mirrors are standard equipment.
With the addition of the Midnight/Sport Edition bundle, the Redline Edition has been updated. All Chevrolet cars come equipped with Chevy Safety Assist, including front collision warning and lane departure warning. There are now more options available for different trim levels when it comes to adaptive cruise control. A standard eight-inch color driver information display on the Premier and High Country trim levels is a nice touch.
Interior
The interior of the 2024 Chevy Equinox appeals to a wide range of buyers in this niche. Having a lot of room, various storage options, and an ergonomic design make it easy to carry your family. The lack of softness in some materials, most notably the top trims, does not completely detract from the functional interior’s attractiveness. The base model can be upgraded to include features like all-wheel drive, heated and ventilated front seats, and wireless phone charging, making it an excellent choice for anybody looking for a more luxurious journey.
The addition of a pair of optional captain’s chairs in the second row bolsters the RS’s seating capacity to seven people in our test car. A second-row bench is included as standard equipment. A close second for us was the Jet Black/Spice Red. Many power outlets and USB connections are available to passengers who need to charge their personal devices.
Engine
This engine 266 lb-ft of torque isn’t the most cutting-edge in its class, but it is reliable. Like most normally aspirated engines, this engine delivers power in a linear and smooth manner. Thus, the Traverse is a joy to drive both in the city and on the highway, where it happily glides at the legal speed limit.
It has a nine-speed automatic transmission for its V6 engine. The transmission was adequate in terms of smoothness and responsiveness for a midsize crossover. If you buy a new automobile that costs a lot of money, you won’t get this guarantee.
2024 Chevy Equinox Release Date and Price
There is a starting price of $33,700 for the 2024 Chevy Equinox LS. It costs $36,200 for the LT Cloth, $38,900 for the LT Leather, and $44,200 for the RS. The Premier has a sticker price of $46,600, whereas the High Country version of the Chevy Equinox costs far more than that. The $1,195 US destination fee and any additional costs are not included in this pricing. Only on the base model can you get the $2,000 AWD upgrade; the same is true for the rest of the trims.
