New 2024 Chevrolet Camaro Concept, Images, Price – Chevrolet debuted the 2024 Chevrolet Camaro in 2022 as a direct competitor to the Ford Mustang. More than 50 years later, the embers of the long-standing feud continue to flare. There was a brief hiatus between 2002 and 2010, but it did nothing to quench the fires in fans’ hearts; the Camaro pony car took off once again and has never looked back. The formula is age-old and pretty straightforward: an engine up front, a driver in the center, and drive supplied to the back.

Add a six-speed manual gearbox, an eight-or ten-speed automatic transmission, and no less than three engine choices-including a 275-horsepower turbo-four and a 455-horsepower 6.2L V8-and the Camaro becomes the mythical Build-A-Bear of American automotive glory. Add sharp driving characteristics, an aggressive appearance, and a slew of accessible convenience and support technologies to appease the political types, and the current version of the pony car is better than it’s ever been.

The 2024 Chevrolet Camaro comes standard with the 1LE Track Performance Package. It has distinctive visual elements such as black-painted 20-inch wheels and satin-black exterior highlights, as well as distinctive interior elements such as micro suede trim and more supportive Recaro front seats (SS models only). The most critical improvements, however, are those that influence performance.

Each 1LE has a dual-mode exhaust system, upgraded engine cooling components, stronger brakes, a limited-slip differential, and specially tuned suspension. While we appreciate that the 1LE package is available on models with four-cylinder and V-6 engines, we’d like to couple it with the 1SS trim, which only comes with the hearty V-8.

Interior

2024 Chevrolet Camaro made certain that the Camaro’s interior was not modified to the point that occupants forgot about its heritage. While the straightforward layout and absence of touch-sensitive surfaces may appeal to some, others who prefer high-end technology may be dissatisfied. Having said that, the interior remains unmistakably sporty, with enough room for passengers in the front. While the majority of materials have a quality feel, certain less expensive materials stand out in select places. Although competitors like BMW provide far superior interiors, this will be irrelevant to the average muscle car fan.

Even taller folks will have more than enough room in the front. The supportive and comfy chair makes everyday driving or even lengthy excursions bearable. The issue is in the rearview mirror. The rear seats will accommodate an adult or two in a pinch, but they will not be comfortable. The Camaro’s rear seat is ideal for little children or as additional storage space. The Camaro falls short here, as the Mustang is more capacious and the Dodge Challenger seems enormous in contrast.

Engine

The 2024 Chevrolet Camaro is offered with three engine and three transmissions. Although the standard 2.0-liter engine has half the cylinders that muscle car buyers want, it isn’t especially sluggish. It generates 275 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, so power is not an issue. The issue is that the four-pot seems to be the less desirable stepsister to the available 3.6L V6. That V6, which is offered as an option on the 1LT through 3LT models, produces 335 horsepower but somewhat less torque at 284 lb-ft. Both engines come standard with a six-speed manual transmission, but the 2.0T gets an eight-speed automatic transmission while the V6 gets a ten-speed.

The LT1 and its SS-badged variants are equipped with the good ol’ American V8, a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque, mated to the same gearbox options as its six-cylinder cousin. Naturally, it is the engine we suggest, especially with the manual transmission, since it fits the Camaro’s character so much better than the smaller engines do, but without providing excessive power.
