New Chevy Equinox 2024 Exterior, Engine, Dimensions – Originally expected to launch in 2024, the Chevrolet Equinox makeover was delayed due to the global influenza epidemic and other issues. Nevertheless, it’s never too late. The Traverse is a three-row midsize crossover that is one of the major competitors in its market, and it comes standard with a generous amount of interior space. You can compare it to contemporary minivans for the mass market, such as the Honda Pilot, Hyundai Palisade, and Ford Explorer.
Due to its fast engine, it is one of the most popular automobiles today, despite its lack of overall appeal. The powertrain is propelled by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that generates 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. Even though the Traverse is not an actual off-road vehicle, it can handle challenging road conditions because it has all-wheel drive.
Redesign
For the 2024 model year, all-new Chevrolet Traverse models will include new grilles, a redesigned front fascia, standard LED headlights, and new LED taillights. Outside mirrors that can be heated and folded automatically are standard on cars with the RS trim level or higher.
The Midnight/Sport Edition package for the LS and LT trim levels has been included in the Redline Edition. In addition to front collision warning and lane departure warning, Chevy Safety Assist is included on all models. Adaptive cruise control is now offered on an expanded range of trim levels. Also, the Premier and High Country trims come with an 8-inch color driver information display as standard, which is a nice feature.
Interior
The interior of the Chevy Equinox is generally appealing to buyers in this market segment. Ample room, numerous storage options, and an ergonomic design make it easy to move your family. The absence of softness in certain materials, most notably the top trims, does not wholly detract from the interior’s aesthetic value. All-wheel-drive, heated and cooled front seats, and wireless phone charging are just some of the options for the base model, which makes it the perfect car for people who want a more comfortable ride.
The RS we drove was equipped with the optional second-row captain’s seats, bringing the total seating capacity to seven. Standard equipment includes a bench for the second row. Also, our favorite color combination was Jet Black and Spicy Red. There are a lot of power outlets and USB ports all over the cabin, which will be helpful for people who need to charge their own devices.
Engine
Although the 3.6-liter V6’s 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque are not the most advanced in their class, they are trustworthy. Like the vast majority of typically aspirated engines, this engine functions with a linear and smooth power delivery. Because of this, the Traverse is a joy to drive both in the city and on the highway, where it is happy to stay at the speed limit.
A nine-speed automatic transmission drives the V6. We found the information to be sufficiently smooth and fast for a midsize crossover. We cannot offer this guarantee on all new automobiles, even those that cost significantly more.
